Episode 13 - Women in Science & Technology

An exploration into the various sciences that seek to improve our day-to-day lives.

Ever so often, one is afforded an opportunity to engage with talented minds on a spectrum of issues that maintain importance in our daily lives. Last week Friday, we here at People of Interest were given such an opportunity. Mahatma and Lucinda sat down with three friends from the United States, all specialising in sciences that contribute to the human experience.

Dr Tracee Gilbert

is a passionate entrepreneur and engineering executive. She is the owner and operator of System Innovations, which has worked with clients in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD). She was also the contractor chief architect in developing & leading the concept, strategy and implementation of Digital Engineering across the Department of Defense, Military Services and Academia.

Sadiqa Williams-Glusman

is an integrative Health Coach. She is passionate about the magic of our bodies and fascinated with how the foods we eat affect us. Sadiqa’s mission is to inspire others to upgrade their lifestyle so they can have a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Dr Zakia Greene is a senior pharmacologist at the United States Food and Drug Administration. As a pharmacologist, she reviews the way prescription and over-the-counter drugs are metabolised, distributed and excreted from the body. Among a myriad of activities, she too evaluates the similarity between drugs made by pharmaceutical companies – allowing consumers choices when purchasing medicine.

This entire conversation was fascinating. Had I had it my way, it would have lasted days. Enjoy and be sure to like and share.
